Town Center Nissan in Kennesaw, Ga., needed additional storage capacity for vehicle supplies and components, so they called on a developer of custom modular offices and mezzanines to design, manufacture and install a large, two-story mezzanine.

Town Center Nissan needed a development that suited the aesthetics of their building, so a black stainless-steel mesh structure was required, which ensured the facility would be sportier, while holding extra parts. The steel platform also provides an additional 345 square feet of storage space for its vehicle service area.

While working with Sean Robinson at Sync-Storage, the mezzanine provider finalized the two-story mezzanine, known as the Mezzanine Complex, so users at the dealership would have a multi-use structure with a variety of spacing opportunities.

Aside from its additional storage capability, the mezzanine also features an IBC stair system with closed risers and diamond plate treads. Furthermore, its deck provides 125 pounds per square foot load rating—with 22 gauge steel decking and an Advantech subsurface. Its deck railing includes a swing gate, created by the mezzanine developer, that can be used for the safe and convenient loading and off-loading of parts and materials.

Offering a clear height of 108 inches (when the deck height is 126.5 feet), the mezzanine also has a column load that weighs 14,560 pounds. Column loading is the full weight of the current floor, as long as the mezzanine is filled—on each square foot—to its maximum capacity.
