The Industrial Truck Association (ITA) announced today the election of Brett Wood, President and CEO of Toyota Material Handling North America, as the Chair of its Board of Directors. With this appointment, Wood brings his extensive experience and leadership to the forefront of the association’s strategic initiatives, ITA stated. This will serve as Wood’s second time elected to serve as Board Chair.

As a seasoned executive in the powered industrial truck industry, Wood has demonstrated a deep commitment to advancing innovation and excellence in manufacturing and logistics, ITA noted. His 34 year tenure at Toyota has been marked by pioneering advancements in the industry, emphasizing sustainability, safety and technological innovation.

In assuming the role of Chair of ITA’s Board of Directors, Wood will play a pivotal role in steering the association’s vision and driving industry-wide initiatives. With his proven track record of fostering collaboration and driving positive change, Wood is poised to lead ITA toward continued growth and impact in the powered industrial truck industry.
