Systems Loading Dock Equipment Company Profile

The UniChock is a wheel-based trailer restraint universally effective in most conditions by helping to prevent unexpected trailer departure or movement from the loading dock during the loading process.

The UniChock is a wheel-based trailer restraint universally effective in most conditions by helping to prevent unexpected trailer departure or movement from the loading dock during the loading process.

The UniChock’s unique profile and zinc-plated steel teeth provide a secure grip to the ground that is unparalleled in the industry. In addition, the UniChock’s aluminum construction makes for a lightweight, easily maneuverable restraint.

Once a trailer is fully backed and parked in position against the dock bumpers, the UniChock is removed from the storage bracket and placed under the front of one of the trailer’s back tires.

This will sound an audible indicator and display a message on the iDock® Controller that the unit is in a safe position. The dock attendant can then proceed to open the door and deploy the leveler.

If the UniChock is moved to an unsafe position during loading, an audible alarm will sound until the restraint is back into the correct position.  After loading is complete, the unit is returned to the storage bracket, out of harm’s way.

Installing a UniChock will bolster safety and reduce the risk of accidents at the dock.  It’s especially beneficial for loading docks that service a lot of trailers with lift gates, which can’t be secured by a RIG-based restraint.

In addition to the added safety that UniChock offers, this unit can also be connected to myQ Dock Management.

Wired sensors installed in the restraint unit and storage bracket communicate with your iDock Controller and send data to the cloud.
