Penco Products: Four-prong seismic rack system

For pallet rack applications in areas where seismic activity or other severe conditions are likely, Penco’s Pallet Rack Plus is offered.

The rack consists of extra rugged beam and upright frames for greater lateral stability than standard pallet rack. Instead of three prongs, the beam’s end connectors have four prongs to create a tighter connection with more surface area between the beam and the upright post.

Beams are welded 3 inches down from the top of the connector for even load distribution across all four connector prongs. To prevent accidental dislodging by materials handling equipment, all beams have a beam-locking key. Each upright frame has two oversized 35-square-inch steel footplates, and frames come in five load capacities in various depths with standard heights from 48 to 240 inches.
