BYD’s new cushion tire forklift powered by BYD’s exclusive Iron Phosphate technology allows for longer run times and faster recharge rates than traditional lead acid batteries.
Iron phosphate batteries also provide longer overall battery life and energy efficiency versus the industry standard with the added benefit of no maintenance and no gassing. BYD’s 10 year battery warranty is longer than many lead acid battery’s actual useful life.
In addition the forklift is powered with an 80 volt drive train allowing the ECC27 to provide power and torque similar to internal combustion forklifts and greater environmental friendliness than lead-acid electric forklifts. As with other BYD products, the ECC can be recharged in 1.5-3 hours (depending on battery size) using BYD’s standard charger for high cycle applications or using the industry first 110 volt charger for those applications with limited power infrastructure.
