A light barrier ensures that all movement stops, if people move into the predefined ‘safety area’.
When installed on rails, Caljan AutoLoader is able to move from door to door providing exceptional flexibility. The loading process becomes more efficient and trailer turnover faster. On-time departure means arrival times at subsequent depots can be accurately predicted.
An initial Start-up procedures ensures that movement is confined to the size of the specific vehicle being loaded even when the truck is parked at an angle to the premises.
The AutoLoader fills the trailer by moving from side to side, releasing the cargo with perfect precision to close vacant gaps in the truck or trailer. The wedge-shaped base gently pushes packages aside to utilize the entire space, resulting in a fill factor of 80%.
Caljan AutoLoader can reach across the dock leveler to every corner of a standard box trailer. During operation, Caljan AutoLoader uses sensors to detect obstacles, moving automatically to a clear space.
Cutting-edge technology means that each item is placed rather than dropped. With a release height of approx. 7’, all items are carefully placed to prevent package damage. Sensors adjust the position of the conveyor to suit the height of the parcel, making room for packages of all sizes. The height detection system creates a free flow of cargo and a continual loading process.
