JBT Corporation: Automatically Store, Retrieve Pallets in Lights-Out, Narrow Aisle Applications

For storage and retrieval of pallets 46 inches wide and 54 inches tall, JBT’s automatic guided vehicle works in 70-inch narrow aisle, pallet handling applications.

The vehicle carries loads up to 2,500 pounds in a fully automated, lights-out warehousing environment by using several forms of guidance including laser triangulation, inertial, spot and wire.

Reaching maximum storage heights of 303 inches, the AGV includes a trilateral fork attachment so pallets can be handled on either side of the vehicle. When combined in a system, vehicles communicate electronically with warehouse management system software to accept new tasks and report completed tasks.
