Fairborn’s WeatherGuard 1600 series of dock door headers protects the loading dock area from rain, snow, sleet, hail and wind. Ideal for areas where the drive approach slopes toward the dock opening—causing rain water to funnel into the dock area—the unit enhances employee comfort and prevents cargo damage.
The header is offered as a complete package or as a retrofit to existing seals and shelters.
To allow natural light into the loading operation, the header features a translucent, structurally supported rigid head member. A watertight seal at the top of the vehicle is created with an integrated spring loaded, foam filled, pivoting header component.
The Series 1600 WeatherGuard™ Header provides unmatched protection to the loading dock area from rain, snow, sleet, hail and wind. WeatherGuard is ideal when the drive approach slopes toward the dock opening causing rain water to funnel into the dock area affecting employee comfort and damaging cargo.
The Series 1600 WeatherGuard will accommodate conventional dock seals, “L” pads, soft-sided shelters and even rigid frame shelters providing a custom fit for your loading dock application requirements. The Fairborn Series 1600 WeatherGuard can also be retrofitted into existing competitor units to improve and enhance your truck sealing effectiveness.
The structurally supported rigid head member is covered with translucent fiberglass to allow natural light into the loading operation. The self supporting capabilities and slope of the head frame provides adequate snow load protection and deflects rain from the loading area.
To ensure maximum durability, the Series 1600 WeatherGuard is constructed of our superior performance Dynaflex and Dynalon materials. Fairborn created the first certified performance fabrics designed solely for the construction of dock seals and shelters. Our exclusive materials meet or exceed the most demanding requirements and have proven to out-perform any fabric in today’s dock shelter market.
