A selection of stepper and servo products incorporate EtherNet/IP network communications, enabling users to control, configure and query drives using an open, standards-based, industrial Ethernet connection at speeds up to 100 MBits per second. Drives and motors with EtherNet/IP run all of the same control modes as Q drives while allowing all drive features to be accessed over EtherNet/IP. This permits operation in step (pulse) and direction, torque (servo), velocity and streaming serial command (SCL) modes. It also allows running of stand-alone Q programs stored in non-volatile memory. With access to more than 100 commands and 130 data registers over an EtherNet/IP network, the system can be used for controlling motion, inputs/outputs, configuration, polling, math and register manipulation.
