Yale Lift Truck Technologies Company Profile

Narrow aisle reach truck’s auto deceleration system delivers smooth stops

Narrow aisle reach truck’s auto deceleration system delivers smooth stops Using state-of-the-art AC technology with an auto deceleration system, the NR/NDR-EB narrow aisle reach truck series is engineered to electronically decelerate to a smooth stop when the operator moves the control handle toward neutral. This eliminates abrupt jolts to the load for improved stability. Heavy-duty construction minimizes sway in high applications, while the lift cylinders provide integral cushioning to support mast channel staging and precise load handling. To optimize maneuverability, a convenient side-stance control handle permits simultaneous control of travel and hydraulic functions such as forward/reverse, lift/lower, and proportional reach/retract, tilt and side shift. The vehicle also has an eight-position, adjustable steer tiller handle with spinner knob for simple steering. Ergonomic features include a large floor compartment, cushioned mat, and floorplate on elastomeric mounts that reduce operator fatigue. The NR/NDR series is designed to equip personnel for success in operations with tight, dense storage configurations. The Operator Sensing System uses optical-based sensors, not pedals, to detect operator presence and offer freedom to comfortably adjust stance. The forward stance model with aft travel control handle provides automotive steering in both forward and reverse directions for more natural steering familiarity, which can help shorten training time and may reduce facility and product damage.

The standard wide mast opening provides up to 33% greater visibility than leading competitors, while the optional wireless camera with built-in LED lights and laser fork level provide optimum lighting, guidance and viewing perspective to eliminate guesswork when positioning forks at high-level storage locations.

The return to center sideshift automatically stops the carriage at center position for consistent performance, while return to set tilt feature sets forks at a predetermined angle for consistent load positioning. Together with industry leading lift and lower speeds, operators can shave seconds off each pick cycle for productivity gains that can add up to as much as 7% per truck, per shift compared to leading competitors.

Dense storage configurations are critical to providing the capacity operations need to handle growing inventories, but so too is equipping personnel for success – operator productivity can drop by as much as 30 percent over the course of a shift.

The new Yale® narrow aisle reach truck is designed to equip operators for success in warehouses with the growing SKU counts and high-density storage configurations typical of e-commerce. Available in 3,000 to 4,500-pound load capacities with single or double reach capabilities, Yale® NR/NDR-DC/EC reach trucks can lift heavier loads to greater heights and storage depths, with features to help fight fatigue and improve operator performance.

In addition to industry-exclusive ergonomic features, the Yale® narrow aisle reach truck helps improve confidence, precision and speed by providing operators up to 33% greater visibility through the mast. Using the reach truck can also boost productivity by as much as 7% per truck, per shift, while consuming up to 20% less energy. The narrow aisle reach trucks are also engineered to require less maintenance and make service tasks easier when necessary, help operations save up to $2,500 per truck, per year.

Key Product Features:

  • Operator sensing system uses optical-based sensors that allow personnel freedom to comfortable adjust stance, rather than requiring them to press a pedal all shift long
  • Standard wide mast opening with up to 33% greater visibility than leading competitors, while the optional wireless camera with built-in LED lights and laser fork level provide optimum lighting, guidance and viewing perspective to eliminate guesswork when positioning forks at high-level storage locations
  • Optional suspended floor system alleviates up to 60% of shocks and vibrations transmitted to operator, to stave off fatigue and promote comfort all shift long
