Protected with IP66 (NEMA 4X) and connected with IO-Link, the i550 protec, a frequency inverter range, now has a power range of up to 2.2 kilowatts.
Available in harsh environments outside of control cabinets for the first time, the IO-Link can integrate the inverter range’s actuators and sensors, which are distributed in an application, into the master control level, so that asset, parameterization and process data can be exchanged.
As a result, nodes don’t need to be addressed manually and costly special cables aren’t required. If the IO-Link is being used in a network already, the i550 protec can be connected in a cost-effective manner, even if users have higher level control systems. Due to the IP66 rating, the i550 protec is also protected from dirt, dust, high temperatures and water jets.

i550 protec uses the same tried-and-tested technology used in the i550 cabinet and only differs in terms of a higher degree of housing protection with an adapted design.
