Built upon a linear beam actuator with a rigid chain, a custom work platform by Serapid measuring 15 feet high and 40 feet long provides a stable work area for multiple operators working overhead in aerospace manufacturing facilities.
Features include a row of motorized extension units projecting outward up to 70 inches from the main platform to fit against the curved fuselage of the plane.
To conform to the workpiece shape, a swivel feature allows extension units to be further adjusted incrementally. The platform raises and lowers with a touchscreen interface, and includes a 32-foot long tool shelf running along the length of the platform.
