Handle 55-gallon drums with below hook attachment The BHDL series of mechanical below-hook attachments can be used to lift, position and lower 55-gallon drums overhead for placement in or out of overpack drums, containment vessels, scales or similar applications. The attachments ensure that the lifted drum remains fully vertical during its movement. Equipped with two curved arms that conform to the underside of the load, the device works with drums made of steel, plastic or fiber in a range of outer diameters from 21 to 25 inches. Capable of lifting up to 2,500 pounds, the attachment connects to any overhead-lifting hoist, or to a forklift adapter that enables its use with forks.
