Crown Equipment: Battery Health Monitor

For easier management of fleets of lead-acid-powered forklift batteries, the new Battery Health Monitor works in conjunction with the supplier’s InfoLink wireless fleet and operator management system to tie forklift, operator and battery data together. Installed on the battery, the device monitors real-time activity data. It captures individual battery performance during operation, allowing timelier and more proactive use and maintenance decisions when one begins to fail. Data monitored includes amp hour throughput and run time. The system also helps determine which charging method (fast or opportunity) works best for each battery and which batteries work better in certain trucks and applications.
