BALYO SA (Booth 9537) rolled out its forklift automation solution with revolutionary infrastructure-free navigation technology at Modex. The Paris-based provider of forklift automation solutions has experienced success in the European market, said Jean-Marie Bergeal, CEO, “and now brings this breakthrough navigation technology to the North American market.”

BALYO’s solution is an end-to-end automation solution whose return on investment, averages 12 to 18 months, according to Bergeal. “The significant productivity gains also experienced by our clients in Europe are now available to U.S. and Canadian companies,” Bergeal said.

By integrating standard electric forklifts with unique navigation and control technology, BALYO’s solution allows a forklift to position itself to pick-up a pallet and deliver it where directed. In addition, the supervisor (the middleware) interfaces with the warehouse management system (WMS), manages the automatic guided vehicle (AGV) traffic, and allows for end-to-end automation of pallet movement.
