ABB Robotics Company Profile

Robot works side-by-side with humans with no barriers required

Working side-by-side with humans without barriers, cages or safety zones, the YuMi Collaborative Robot is offered for multiple packing applications, including kitting of multiple components into packages, component assembly and packing of fragile materials. The dual-arm industrial robot is engineered to interact safely with humans and features a lightweight, rigid magnesium skeleton covered with a floating plastic casing wrapped in padding to absorb impacts. Compact, with human-like dimensions and movements, the robot makes its human co-workers feel safe and comfortable. Also showcased are the IRB 360 FlexPicker and the IRB 910SC SCARA (selective compliance articulated robot arm) robot for general applications requiring fast, repeatable and articulate point-to-point movements.
