Underhung, overhead-mounted manipulators Controlled by either a handle or pendant, the UM series of underhung, overhead-mounted rigid and telescoping manipulators handle rolls weighing up to 300 pounds. By using both X- and Y-axis bridge crane travel, the devices stabilize out-of-balance loads that cannot be handled by swinging or dangling hoists. Features include reach-in flexibility for machine loading and unloading, custom end tooling, two-speed lifting and lowering (slow at 1.6 inches per second; fast at 6.5 inches per second), and 60-inch lift stroke.
