Electromechanical vehicle restraint prevents forklift damage and worker injury

Electromechanical vehicle restraint Using an electromechanical rotating hook, the StrongArm™ HVR303 electric vehicle restraint prevents forklift damage and worker injury associated with unscheduled truck departure by securing trailers to the loading dock. The device applies a restraining force of 32,000 pounds to a variety of trailers, including those with bent or damaged rear impact guard bars. A spring?based compensation float ensures compatibility with air?ride suspension systems, while a constant?force restraining grip prevents separation due to crossdocking bounce and vibration. To enable the restraint carriage to automatically position itself in accordance with each incoming truck’s design, a sliding nose extension is included. The device can be interlocked with the supplier’s air?powered dock levelers and includes touch panel controls.
