To ensure a secure carton seal and prevent contamination in perishable food product handling, the ShurSEAL carton sealing system by Shurtape includes the HP series packaging tape and PrimeLoc tape applicator.
The tape creates an immediate, permanent bond with cartons and can be specified in cold-temperature formulations for use harsh, cold conditions, including frozen foods, meat and poultry processing, dairy facilities, unheated warehouses and storage facilities in cold climates. By deploying proper wipe-down force, the applicator enables full utilization of the tape’s adhesive to produce tamper-evident seals.
If the tape is peeled back, a visual fiber tear provides evidence the tape has been tampered with or removed. To reinforce the strength of the bond and to create a ready-to-open seal that doesn’t require a knife to open, a folded-edge technology option can be added. The system retrofits to a variety of automated machines, including most major brands of case erectors, packers and sealers.
