Covectra: Serialization-Based Solution with AuthentiTrack Database

A holistic, integrated serialization-based solution protects food, beverage and pharmaceutical products from counterfeiting. The system, developed for brand and supply chain integrity of infant formula, also enables track-and-trace and diversion detection of products through the supply chain. It uses a serialized unique bar code (QR, 2D or 1D) applied to the bottom of the product and all levels of packaging (case and pallet). The serialization system consists of an AuthentiTrack database for generating and managing all serial numbers, including all events associated with that bar code; a packaging line serialization system to print and verify bar codes on each level of packaging; and a downstream supply chain traceability system to track products and detect incidents of gray market diversion.
