Pallet AS/RS uses rotating forks

Pallet AS/RS uses rotating forks The RapidStore UL1400 is an alternative pallet automated storage and retrieval system solution for existing, low- to medium-height buildings. Engineered to accommodate facilities normally serviced by manual materials handling equipment such as very narrow-aisle (VNA), operator-up and swing-reach fork trucks, the system places one S/R machine per aisle. It employs a rotating fork that interfaces with conventional post-and-beam rack (including conventional rack, push-back rack and empty pallet stackers) for high storage density in a controlled, secure environment. The mechanism rides on a floor rail and is stabilized overhead with a steel guide tube. To access pallet loads on either side of the aisle, the rotating fork moves vertically and pivots, picking or depositing pallet loads to locations on either side of the aisle.
