As a flexible development platform that enables the rapid creation of cost-effective finished RFID reader products, the system now supports network interfaces as well as GPS, enabling the integration of positioning services. Because it maintains a single unified software interface, developers can use it to consume diverse sensor data and act as a hub for a range of transport interfaces and communication plug-ins in a single platform.
The system combines a microcontroller-based motherboard, the supplier’s Mercury6e series of RFID modules and an integrated software development environment. With the platform, developers can bring up a fully functional RFID reader in minutes.
