Vehicles replaces low-level cart picking of broken cases.

Vehicles replace rolling ladders, low-level cart picking of broken cases The Joey J1 and J2 Task Support Vehicles are built for less-than-full pallet picking. The J1 replaces rolling ladders and low-level, cart-based picking processes, increasing pick heights up to 220 inches. It holds up to 1,000 pounds and travels at standard speeds up to 3.4 miles per hour (faster with a high-speed option). AC-powered and programmable, the vehicle’s mast incorporates a heavy-duty I-beam, steel channels and side-mounted lift cylinders. The mast reaches travel rates of 42 feet per minute. For larger facilities, a cart towing hitch option may be specified. The J2 handles a 42 x 48-inch pallet, handles 2,000 pounds total capacity, and uses a mini mast for ergonomic work heights for the driver. Featuring new, innovative dual controls, enhanced J2 Joey mid-level orderpickers enable operators to drive either forks forward or forks trailing, depending on their applications and preferences. During the forks forward positioning, operators have open views to their next pick locations, as they can move from one pick to the next without having to reposition the orderpickers.

Meanwhile, when driving forks trailing, operators grasp an auxiliary handle, which is located on the operator’s platform’s back wall; this handle includes a hand presence sensor, along with a thumb operated throttle. If operators choose to change the orderpicker’s travel direction, its software automatically inverts control functions, enabling steering to remain consistent and intuitive.

Two options are currently available: 126-inch or 144-inch maximum lift heights.

Company Product Description

The J2 “JOEY” Low Level Order Picker combines the compact design and exceptional maneuverability of our J1 Task Support Vehicle with attributes of a counterbalanced forklift. The result is a versatile machine that can be used for low level order picking, and staging of pallets.

Utilizing many of the same reliable components as the J1, the J2 comes in two configurations.  The J2-72 can elevate an operator 48” and features a mini mast that can lift up to 1,500lbs loads to a 72” elevation.  The J2-126 can elevate and operator to 132” and attain fork elevations of 126”.  The J2-126 requires a tether and harness to be worn and and comes with both an overhead guard and pallet clamp.  Both J2 vehicles offers travel speeds up to 4.5mph.

J2 Joey vehicles can be used to effectively order pick from low level locations and improve access to pick faces close to the floor.  Travel is provided by a high efficiency AC drive motor on each unit that can be programmed through the onboard LCD dash.  Power comes from a 340AH industrial battery or 224AH AGM maintenance free battery pack that is an available option on the J2-72.
