A new drum motor has been engineered according to the latest U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines, using only materials approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The Asynchronous Drum Motor (models 113i, 138i, 165i and 217i) has gained approval from the USDA for compliance with guidelines for sanitary design and fabrication of processing equipment for handling meat, poultry and dairy products. With standard IP66 and IP69k sealing systems, the unit serves reliably in challenging wet and high-pressure wash-down situations.
