Daifuku North America Holding Company Company Profile

AS/RS operated by one controller.

AS/RS operated by one controller.

Developed to offer users a dense storage and sorting function—either by group or a specific sequence—the Shuttle Rack M is ideal for load sequencing.

As a fast, high-throughput vehicle-type AS/RS, each Shuttle Rack M is operated by one controller.

Consuming nearly 60% less power per cycle than typical crane systems, the AS/RS is also known for its handling capabilities, as it not only handles cartons, totes and trays, but can also handle a variety of load sizes.

The Shuttle Rack M, which is available in either singledeep or double-deep configurations, can also be used in either ambient temperatures or freezer applications.

Features

Easy Maintenance

Faulty shuttles can be replaced with little disruption to the system. Other shuttles continue to operate while maintenance is being performed on one shuttle. By controlling the number of active shuttles, maintenance can be systematically performed on each shuttle without interrupting the handling process.

Energy Saving

The system has one shuttle vehicle installed on every level. Each shuttle travels at high speeds to quickly store and retrieve loads. By using lightweight vehicles to transport loads, the “Shuttle Rack M” consumes 60% less power per cycle than conventional crane systems.
