Goods-to-person picking with horizontal carousel, VLM

Goods-to-person picking with horizontal carousel, VLM A full line of flexible and scalable automated storage and retrieval systems improve order picking and packing by through goods-to-person product presentation that eliminates walking, searching, reaching and bending activities. The Viper vertical lift machine uses a series of trays stored vertically on each side of a column with a robotic inserter/extractor in the center. Trays are automatically scanned and stored in the least amount of space or pre-assigned positions for maximum throughput and density. Using multiple carousels in an integrated workstation, the Hornet horizontal carousel system continually pre-positions each pick location for the operator until the entire batch and wave of orders are completed. The carousel’s length, bin width and shelf heights can be changed at any time. Sapient Automation, 888-451-9711, http://www.getsapient.com. Booth 2016.
