CASI: IBOD intelligent box-opening device

Automatically open 480 to 920 boxes per hour with the IBOD intelligent box-opening device by Cornerstone Automation Systems.

The system accepts box sizes ranging from 8 x 6 x 6 inches to 30 x 21 x 19 inches with weights from 1 to 65 pounds.

Fully automated, the programmable carton opening system is offered in two styles: single and double (with two infeeds). Both systems adjust to random sizes and cuts, and can be installed either inline or used as a stand-alone machine mounted on casters for portability.

Options include an automated case extractor that empties carton contents into bins, hoppers or conveyors, an automatic blade changer, and a pick window cutter that slices tape lines to permit a carton to be re-used and resealed later.
