With verification technology integrated directly into the print-and-apply system, the new V5440 print/verify/apply on-demand labeling system seamlessly confirms bar codes and validates label design while the label is printing but before application.

If a label is determined to be outside of set parameters (due to either a bar code grade or label blemish), the system sends a warning or fault to alert operators or the warehouse control system.

The system verifies 1D and 2D bar codes—including UPC, GS1-128, data matrix and QR codes—to ISO standards to ensure compliance. Because all labels are verified in-line, not just randomly sampled, label problems are caught immediately without any product receiving a bad label. Fox IV Technologies.
