A real-time location system, the next-generation iWarehouse RTLS (iW.RTLS) reinforces facilities’ rules, while supporting lift truck operations. The system can either slow lift trucks down or stop them completely in a controlled fashion within facilities’ defined zones. As a patented operator assist technology, the system uses ultra-wideband (UWB) to determine the positions of tags on lift trucks and pedestrian badges.
It is accurate to within about 3 feet, based on the tags’ relative positions to anchors, which are in fixed locations within warehouses.
By using geofencing and zoning capabilities, iW.RTLS ensures lift trucks, operators and pedestrians are in the exact place they should be at the exact time they should be there. It works in conjunction with the iWarehouse telematics solution, providing enhanced visibility across entire operations.
