topVOX (Booth 2930) announced its latest product in the topVOX portfolio: the Lydia Smart Watch, which provides a visual presentation of the products and works as an add-on to current voice directed picking solutions. The Lydia Smart Watch, in combination with Lydia voice, is a user-friendly, highly ergonomic solution.

According to Ryan Absil, project manager, the watch-voice combo provides many advantages, such as maximum process safety and improved ergonomics. “It’s a nice add-on to an already quality voice solution,” he said. Speech-directed instructions are provided through the mobile Voxter device using either a headset or the Lydia VoiceWear— a breathable, comfortable vest with integrated speaker and microphones.

“The vest ensures maximum freedom of movement so users can effortlessly focus on the job at hand,” said Absil. The added plus of displaying pictures of the articles on the Smart Watch clearly results in a high reduction of picking errors. The technology is especially beneficial for logistics providers that handle a variety of products with many of the same SKUs in different versions.
