Shift Robotics demonstrates warehouse Moonwalkers

Shift Robotics (Booth A9422) is a first-time exhibitor showcasing the ability of Moonwalkers robotic shoes to allow 3PL, warehouse, distribution, retail and supply chain employees to walk up to 7mph.

From left, Rob Vickery, global head of business development at Shift Robotics (Booth A9422), demonstrates how to operate their Moonwalkers. Powered by artificial intelligence (AI), Moonwalkers can be strapped onto shoes to give warehouse workers a gentle motorized push. Shift Robotics says the product can double warehouse productivity, thanks to fewer steps taken.

Shift Robotics (Booth A9422) is a first-time Modex exhibitor showcasing the ability of Moonwalkers robotic shoes to allow 3PL, warehouse, distribution, retail and supply chain employees to walk up to 7mph (up to 3 times faster), significantly reducing the number of steps workers take on a daily basis, reducing bodily wear and tear, and more.

Launched early last year, Moonwalkers were named by TIME as a Best Invention of 2023 in part because these AI-powered robotic shoes enable people to safely walk at up to 7 mph. When employees in the third-party logistics (3PL), warehouse, distribution, retail, and supply chain world walk as many as 30,000 steps in a single day, wearing Moonwalkers enable those same employees to safely slash their daily Step Counts to as low as 13,000 steps/day.

Moonwalkers provide a gentle motorized push with each step, increasing stride and speed. The artificial intelligence software driving Moonwalkers measures and adjusts on-the-fly to both the terrain you're on and your unique gait, providing safe and productive personal mobility.
