VS Dock Levelers from Poweramp offer a lot of great benefits, but they’re particularly ideal for the environmental control of any cold storage warehouse or distribution center.

Rather than storing in a pit built into the dock floor, VS levelers sit in the vertical position when stored. A continuous pit can then run along all the loading dock positions, making it easier to clean and perform maintenance on the equipment.

The biggest advantage though of this design is giving the overhead door the ability to seal along a concrete floor without a dock leveler pit under it. This is beneficial because it eliminates an area where the controlled interior cold air can escape, or where rodents can get in.

Vertical levelers also provide a barrier to protect the overhead doors from damage from forklift trucks.  They have a hydraulic operation and are push-button activated with iDock® Controls.  Not only can these controls interlock the levelers with other dock equipment, but they can also connect online to myQ® Dock Management, which provides a real-time view and historical data of loading dock activity to help improve operations.
