The AlphaStep AZ Series lineup of stepper motors provides low vibration and high efficiency, and they’re ideal for positioning, speed and torque control. Equipped with a battery-free absolute mechanical sensor, each of the motors are integrated with a mechanical absolute encoder for absolute-type positioning—without requiring the purchase of any battery back-up or external sensors.
Offering a variety of driver types, including network communications, based on the motors’ system requirements, the lineup provides a built-in controller or a pulse input driver.
As a result, the motor can considerably reduce heat generation. Available with electromagnetic brakes, the motor is offered with a variety of gear types. It can be used with an AC or DC input AlphaStep AZ Series driver.

The AlphaStep AZ Series Stepper Motor Drivers offer 24/48 VDC input voltage, high functionality and closed loop control. There are no external sensors to buy as the motor and driver complete the system. Available in 3 types; a stored data (network) driver, pulse input driver or pulse input type with RS-485 communications for monitoring. Advanced operation and function control is included through our MEXE02 software (free download). The AlphaStep AZ Series (DC Input) can perform quick positioning operations over a short distance without the need for tuning, while providing smooth performance.
