After deploying over $1 billion in industrial automation during their careers, SVT Robotics co-founders A.K. Schultz (CEO) and Michael Howes (CPO) experienced the pain of integrating technologies from disparate companies. Knowing many automation technologies don’t work together by design, they realized that system interoperability was the greatest challenge facing industrial robotics, with full deployments often taking 12-18 months. As the demand for automation grew, the problem increased rapidly.
SVT Robotics’ technology-agnostic SOFTBOT Platform solved this interoperability problem. The platform is built using what we call “SOFTBOTS.” Each SOFTBOT is like a microservice representing an integration to either software or hardware or an orchestration (business logic) that managers those technologies and ensures they work in concert. SOFTBOTs can be built quickly and easily maintained or changed without custom code and without retooling the rest of the system. The result is that companies can rapidly design, integrate, and deploy fully integrated solutions in just days or weeks vs. the traditional months or years. That’s faster than ever before—a game-changer for the industrial robotics industry. The SOFTBOT Platform is particularly innovative because it integrates and orchestrates technologies from both the cyber and physical worlds – something exceedingly difficult to do.
Simply put, the SOFTBOT Platform is the fastest, simplest way to connect any company to any robot for any task. It’s what we mean by automation at the speed of need.
