The Crown MPC Series features Crown’s QuickPick(R) Remote system that optimizes low-level order picking via automation technology. It brings automation to this physically demanding job by giving operators the ability to control the truck from the aisle.

In traditional order picking applications, operators constantly return to the compartment to move the truck forward. QuickPick Remote allows operators to maintain consistent rhythm and pace, making the most of every second in the fast-paced picking process.

Operators simply press a button on the wearable technology to remotely advance the forklift, virtually eliminating the need to return to the compartment while picking. The system operates independently of warehouse networks, which means it is easy to set up and does not consume valuable bandwidth or require costly IT investments.

Crown research has shown that QuickPick Remote cuts truck on/off work motions by up to 70 percent and can save up to five seconds per pick at a 16-foot interpick distance. At 100 picks per hour, it may generate as much as a 14 percent time savings. The truck also offers forks that manually raise and lower, allowing operators to build pallets at a comfortable height, minimizing the strain of lifting heavy material.

Features:

  • QuickPick(R) Remote system reduces low-level order picking walk steps, increasing productivity, reducing operator fatigue and improving safety.
  • With its counterbalance engineering, ergonomic design and mast options, the truck gives operators the opportunity to do more with one truck across a variety of applications.
  • Forks that manually raise and lower allow operators to build pallets at a comfortable height, minimizing the strain of lifting heavy material from the shelf or ground.
