Created to meet the needs of the aerospace industry, the new, spring-loaded AE (Absorbing Aerospace) Series casters are engineered to absorb shocks and reduce noise, protect cargo and extend caster, wheel and bearing life. Also ideal for heavy-duty materials handling of loads that require extra care during transport, the casters feature Spinfinity maintenance-free, king pinless swivel construction.
Their unibody spring housing providing up to 200% greater spring travel and a wider operating capacity range than the supplier’s existing line. Other highlights include a top plate and inner raceway of forged steel.
The new line comes in wheel sizes ranging from 4-inch diameter by 2-inch wideup to 12-inch diameter by 5-inch wide.
The new shock absorbing aerospace (AE) ForgeMaster Series casters protect cargo, reduce noise and extend the life of the caster, wheel, and bearings. This series features the popular 4-1/2” x 6-1/2” mounting plate and 3” wide wheels. The casters are well suited not only for aerospace applications but also for those heavy-duty material handling challenges that require extra care during transport in industrial environments.
These shock absorbing casters feature Hamilton’s newest Spinfinity® maintenance-free swivel construction and their unibody spring housing provides up to 200% greater spring travel compared to our standard line. The new spring design also provides a much wider operating capacity range. Keep in mind, since the spring is pre-loaded, the minimum capacity is required to cause the spring to yield. (A load under the minimum capacity may not result in any absorption of shock.)
Like all Hamilton forged steel casters, the AE ForgeMaster Casters are manufactured in Hamilton, Ohio USA. Select from eleven different wheel types. Optional accessories such as swivel locks and wheel brakes are also available. The AE Workhorse Series caster can be easily modified to accommodate many custom specification requirements.
