Honeywell SPS (Booth B3435) highlighted its recently released 8680i Wearable Mini-Mobile, a compact hands-free cordless device combining the form factor of a ring scanner with integrated computing and connectivity.

Designed to improve efficiency and productivity for scan-intensive tasks, the device offers 8-hour and 10-hour battery options and ring scanner or glove-mounted versions. The lightweight, Wi-Fi-enabled device provides workers with a two-button interface and a display of information such as battery status and scan results. By eliminating the need to hold a separate mobile computer, the 8680i can improve workers’ scanning times by approximately 5 seconds per typical transaction.

Honeywell also showcased Connected Freight, a shipment monitoring solution that delivers real-time data at the trailer, pallet or even package level. Equipped with seven sensors, disposable tags relay information to a Gateway device or standard cellular device to transmit data from anywhere in the world to a portal accessible by any supply chain stakeholder.
