Beacon Hydraulic Elevating Cart Provides Stable Lifting Solutions

The BZ-BDSL is specifically designed to transfer loads from a remote table top to the hydraulic elevating cart on the top long side deck of the platform.

The unit is designed with structural anchor holding tabs at both ends on the long side of the deck platform.

The structural anchor holding tabs have anchor holes to allow for a bolt to secure the hydraulic elevating cart to a remote table top deck to transfer a load.

In addition to stabilize the lift in the up position the hydraulics are designed and equipped with a zero leak valve to assist in stabilization for load transfer.

The portable scissor lift unit is designed for side loading with off center of gravity capacity applications.

Operation:

Step 1: Cart pushed into position against table platform
Step 2: Outriggers are positioned for stability
Step 3: Cart is raised
Step 4: Locking bolts inserted into cart tabs and to be anchored into the remote table
Step 5: Payload is moved from remote table onto cart deck
Step 6: Remove bolts
Step 7: Lower cart
Step 8: Move cart with load in the down position.

The BZ-BDSL is designed with a tubular steel leg set for maximum stability. Standard feature design includes heavy duty electric/ hydraulics with capacities of 2,000 lb. evenly distributed with an edge load rolling at 670 lbs. and a maximum raised height of 77”, a 4,000 lbs., evenly distributed with an edge load rolling at 1,349 lbs. and a maximum raised height of 81”, or a 6,000 lb. evenly distributed with an edge load rolling at 2,000 lbs. with a raised maximum height of 83”.

Platform sizes of all three capacities are available with a 30” wide x 48” long deck up to a 72” long deck platform. An internally mounted super torque motor/ pump /reservoir power unit is available with 1 Hp, 115 Vac, 1 Ph, 60 Hz. 

This series is designed with four polyurethane casters allowing for the ease of mobility. The series includes (4) four - 6” diameter 90 degree swivel wheels with locks.

Beacon ® was requested the task to supply a power plant facility the BZ-BDSL model hydraulic elevating cart. The unit was required because the customer had to move a 2,000 lb. motor off a table top to rebuild the bearings on a regular maintenance schedule.

There was no room for overhead cranes or fork trucks to move the motor. In addition to the tight space environment there was duct conduit in the way and the only way to transfer the motor was to move it under a 38” duct conduit. The BZ-BDSL proved to be successful in moving the motor off the remote table top down to a lowered position and transport it under the 38” duct conduit to a work station to be rebuilt.

All hydraulic elevating carts are to be operated by trained personnel. Always keep hands and feet clear of the underside of the lift platform, optional safety skirts available. Safety is number one for the hydraulic elevating cart.
