Bimba’s Collaborative Robot Vacuum Tool (CRVT) offers a new plug-and-play end effector option for the quick implementation of collaborative robots employed in packaging and palletizing. Developed to meet the versatile nature of such robots, Bimba’s CRVT comes off-the-shelf as a complete solution — no external valve required.
Although designed to support a variety of applications with minimal configuration, Bimba offers an array of pump options for specific vacuum requirements. The end effector is as flexible and easy to use as the robot itself.
Controlled by the I/O connection built into the robot it requires no additional software or controls. To program, users simply connect the tool to the robot and supply an air-line. In contrast with mechanical grippers, vacuum end effectors require access to only one side of the work-piece, and can handle a variety of part sizes, shapes, and weights without making changes to the robot’s settings.
The CRVT is tested and approved to integrate directly with the robots of many manufacturers, ensuring easy set-up, programming, and operation without the need for designing an end-of-arm tool. The CRVT comes standard with venturi vacuum pump, valve, vacuum switch, muffler and cups integrated in a single easy to use end effector.
